This program is designed for children approximately 3 to 5 years of age.

The purpose of this program is to facilitate age and developmentally appropriate learning of fundamental water safety and aquatic skills through a variety of activities, games and drills.

Skills and activities will include:  underwater exploration to increase a child’s comfort in the water, floating and gliding on front and back, water movement skills on both front and back, basic self-rescue skills such as rolling over, treading water, swim-float-swim, jump-push-turn-grab, as well as establishing the importance of asking permission before entering the water and always having someone watch them around water.

NOTE TO PARENTS:  Classes are specifically designed to teach your child water adjustment and safety skills.  These classes are in no way designed to replace parental supervision in and around water.
